Doula Birth

My doula client delivered tonight. Really nice and easy 4 hour labor, 10 min pushing, 7 lb 11 ounce boy. More tomorrow, but I wanted to mention that the doc was so nice to me, she came back after leaving and asked me for cards! knowing I am a Licensed Midwife who does home births!

The nurse, too, said, "I hope to see you again." and asked if I had any babies due there soon. I said I didn't, only homebirth babies right now and I added, "and I hope I do not see you with those!" She laughed and nodded her agreement.

Very nice night.

Off to bed.
