Midwife as Mother; Mother as Midwife

My daughter is getting married in 5 days and is a tad stressed. I flew here yesterday to help midwife the last few days before her wedding, wishing I had been here the whole last year, but was busy midwifing a lot of other women through their pregnancies and births.

If I don't write, you will know why.

A birth of a different sort is occurring. No less strenuous a labor, though with a far greater audience and a MUCH heftier bill (unless the baby was in the NICU and you didn't have insurance).

I look forward to sharing some of my photos once things have wrapped up. I am smiling through tears that my newborn is here at her wedding - she was just wet and newly suckling! When did she grow up? I just don't know.
