From Whence They Came

It's rather interesting to see where people are coming from to read here.

I thought I'd share a few of the most unusual ones. Their links go right to the topic at hand, not to their home pages.

The Roadbike Review got ahold of my "Fat Vagina" post and they have made a number of amusing posts about the projectile tampon portion of my essay.

Pregnancy Weekly readers found my recent "Baby in the Breeze" HBAC post alternately horrifying and great. I think it's a hoot that a mainstream board like Pregnancy Weekly is reading something so non-mainstream as this beautiful HBAC story. I want to answer the women who say "ewwww" about sexuality being combined with birth - what in the world do they think got them there in the first place?

And if you go there, look at the changing picture thingies they have as .sig files! What a cool idea... you can have 20 pictures in a slide show... very cool. Some .sig files were a tad overdone, but I guess that's going to happen, too.

Grand Rounds this week was asking for artistic posts and I couldn't think of much to give, so plopped my "Rollercoaster" picture up and it got in! Whee!

Kuro5Shin, a techno-geek site, also found my "Fat Vagina" post amusing. How do these people find me?

The Low-Carb-ers also think my "Fat Vagina" post was a good one, but not nearly as amusing as the geeks do.

The Fresh Air Cafe, an infertility website, is reading, but I don't know what since you have to be a member to see their posts. Anyone reading know?

Sometimes a link comes up over and over again, yet I cannot find my site or any posts noted anywhere. The most odd come from abroad - in languages I don't speak and from sites that look nothing like a birth or midwifery site.

Here are some examples of unusual, unknown sites.

Husi - I can't even tell what the site is about!

Hollywood Pets!?!? Excuse me?!?

Ummah Films - A Muslim film company (I think)

Someone's blog - it looks like a teen's writing. Very odd!

Sweet Memes - a blog I cannot figure out at all

A Paris Hilton website... how in the world?!?

Rambler Head - a gay radio DJ show

I could go on and on... I am baffled by many of these odd connections to this blog.

Those who track, where do YOU get strange urls from?

you ask where these people find you- with the fat vagina post they were probably porn surfing... so they probably really learned something very different than what they were originally looking for.. ; )

But, see... they *didn't* come from any search engine. I specifically didn't include those because I *know* I get tons of folks porn surfing... I just don't share those search terms... some are rather unsavory.

These came directly from the sites mentioned... not a search engine.

I'm still baffled!

APPARENTLY, oftentimes when people hit "next blog" on blogger they find me. There is no other explanation. I have about 20 just today from blogs that are SO unrelated and often in foreign languages!

Hh

Er, sorry if I've appeared as a strange URL... I guess on looking at my blog I've no right to be here - I'm not a mother. I am however fascinated by birth/birth stories.

I'm chuckling because I Googled my site and found you, and you can't figure me out (Sweet Memes)! That makes two of us... :-)

I just like filling out questionnaires, it's mindless, therapeutic (for me) and occasionally I find something interesting out about myself.

But I suspect that people hit the Next Blog button to get to you from me...

Cool site you have, by the way...
