Labor Kitty

This mama, about 20 minutes or so before having her baby, brings her kitty close to her for a snuggle. It was so beautiful to see! And her cat settled under her patiently, not minding the stroking, leaning or hair in his face at all.

For those of us in love with our pets, don't we just totally get this picture? I know I do!

I'm glad I was able to capture this shot - she looks so gorgeous.

Awww, what a beautiful photo! And yes, I totally get that!

During my homebirth, we worried how our dog would act, both around the MW and her staff, and me, with all the labor-y sounds. He was very protective of me during my daughter's pregnancy (following me into the bathroom when I had all-day "morning" sickness LOL)

He was great, and I think he shows up in some of the birth video, just sitting by the bed, quietly watching.

Our cat is definitely a comfort to me when I'm not feeling well (which is often, due to my chronic illnesses).

Animals just *know*.

I know this post is way late in coming...I just stumbled on your blog a couple weeks ago and have been reading all the posts :)

It may be because I'm seriously PMSing, but I think it's more a testament to you, I started tearing up with this picture. Not because it's beautiful (it really is) but because of your passion and love for laboring women. Your passion, kindness, sincerity, love, dedication, etc (the list really could just go on and on) speak volumes through your blog!
