I'm Getting Married! (again)

So, what with California now allowing same-sex couples to get LEGALLY married, Sarah and I made an appointment, along with 200 others, to get married at the County Clerk's office on Tuesday, June 17, 2008.

With the marriage, we'll have a whole lot of changes in our income tax, medical insurance and general governmental red tape, but as Sarah said, "We gotta make history!"

Once again (the first with my former husband and the second with Sarah in San Francisco in 2004), I'm getting married!

Yea! Congratulations!!!! Good for you for being a human rights activist. (I don't usually use the term gay rights when it comes to marriage - because shouldn't any human have that right?) I am really looking forward to all the beautiful pictures - both of you and Sarah, and in the news media from all the beautiful couples. Makes me almost wish I were a lesbian...LOL.

I can't even beLIEVE it has been two years since I was with you. How amazing is that?!

I have been wanting to tell you, my New Orleans friend, that I now have tinnitus (don't know where it came from) - have had it for a couple of months - and the sound is crickets in the trees when it is really, really hot out. Crickets rub their wings together faster and faster the hotter it gets. This is a near buzzing in the trees sound.

So, in order to cope with it and not let it make me crazy, when I am going to sleep, I am in the RV outside your house, the window open, it having just rained and the crickets are buzzing, buzzing, buzzing... and I am able to fall asleep.

So, I thought about you lots before anyway, but lately, you are in my thoughts at least once, if not more, a day.

Much love to all of you!
