It's September...

...and the light is getting lower, but I am taking my Vitamin D and won't experience SAD like I usually do in the winter. It's actually kind of exciting to think of not getting depressed in the upcoming season!

This was the last birth I did... a VBAC in the hospital. The monitor belt would not stay in place, so Dr. Wonderful threaded it through her bra! I had never seen this before but thought it so ingenius, I had to show you all. I know I will be using this trick again!

I am off to tend to this mama and another woman, a doula client, but will be back later today. I have several thoughts of things to share.

I'm liking my new home. Now, gotta pay for it before my trial time expires. laughing

Is that Donna in the right corner of the picture? She is the very face of compassion in this amazing photo. It is clear that she is totally present to the laboring mothering. Wonderful!

Glad you are liking your new home! Can't wait to read more of your thoughts.

It *is* Donna (my apprentice). I love this picture, seeing all the hands on this mama as she nears the end of her labor. Really a nice shot. (If I do say so m'self.)

Awesome trick with the monitor belt and bra! I'll have to remember that if I have a tricky monitoring situation. (Though, I abhor continuous fetal monitoring, but have to abide by the hospital rules, when applicable.)
