Dr. Biter as Licensed Midwife?

On a Facebook page, Dr. Robert Biter says:

"'Yes I am proud to offer home birth services and am actually getting additional training to become a licensed midwife as well as a board certified Ob Gyn. Women and their families deserve better...'
October 13 at 11:31am"

I wonder if the Medical Board of California (who licenses midwives as well as doctors) will reward him with a license?

Nice he's finally admitting he's attending homebirths, something he's done for over a year now.

Woah! Please tell me that the state of CA will NOT issue a license to this man?! If I were him, I wouldn't be bandying about the whole "board-certified OBGYN" too loudly, given that there's a good chance that he's going to lose his license due to malpractice.

Yeah, nice he's admitting it now. Heard of several "accidental" home births he's attended this last year. I guess since no hospital will grant him privileges he's got to get his ego pumped up somehow. On another frightening side note, he sent another patient to the hospital a couple of weeks ago due to internal bleeding from yet another botched surgery. Hope the State of CA acts quickly and responsibly.
