Hiatus
Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 05:48PM Not that this is news to anyone who reads here regularly, but I’m going to take a formal break for awhile… not sure how long at this point, but the worry over not writing, especially not writing blog posts on the blogs, causes much distress as I work to heal from this intense depression.
If something pops up here or there, cool! I might even toss up some pics of the granddaughter, but no commitment of posting anything until… who knows when.
Until then, I’ll be working on my Dialectical Behavior Therapy (pardon the Wiki link, but they have a great, easy-to-read, explanation of DBT) individually and in groups. I might not be writing here, but I will, most assuredly, will be working hard - on healing.
One of my meditation focuses.

I hope you feel better soon! (((HUGS)))
^patiently waiting for you to heal....we'll all be here to welcome you back.
Peace to you Barb: I strongly affirm DBT as a powerful healing modality; it's emphasis on mindfulness, acceptance and centering on the breath are ancient, time-honored systems of healing/wholing; I am sure that this time away is needed and will provide the needed space and time to do what you need to do. You'll be in my thoughts.
We value your emotional well being and healing over updated blog posts. Taking space to suck out the poison and find the source(s) of our struggle and to heal is important. Like Jacob, we have to wrestle with our angels and in the end, we may walk with a limp. My husband reminds me to "look for the limp, and there you'll find the wisdom." Take all the time you need, and post all the grand baby pics you want. Just know your thoughts will be missed. I trust when you do pass through to the other side of this you'll have more insights to share. In the meantime...I'm sending love and light to you and strength for the journey.
Peace & light to you Barb. xxx
Take care and take your time... so glad you have found something that is helping you.
Thanks, all of you.
Best of luck to you.
I battle depression myself and like you haven't been blogging much either because of it. I pray that you will find healing, and hope that we will hear from you again :)
Have you looked up the GAPS diet? That might be something you could try in addition to your therapy. It would be the first thing that I would try if I had any kind of physical or mental health issue.
Barb, I wish you great things during this time of healing, skill development, and reflection. DBT can be very powerful, and it's wonderful that you're exploring it!
There's always a time for everything. You just need to wait for it to come. And I'm sure you will love it even more.
